So, what is Galentine’s Day exactly? So many people still don’t understand the fabulousness that this “holiday”! It is extra appropriate that my very best friend since the 6th grade has this day (February 13th) as her birthday as well! The last 3 years we have celebrated with dinner and a movie. You see, we love the Fifty Shades books and we had no desire to watch those movies and critique them with anyone other than each other. I am a little bummed we can’t watch a new one this year! Unfortunately, Kelly is out of town this year, but I will get to have lunch with her tomorrow to celebrate both of these holidays. And perhaps we can have a movie marathon and have a fun weekend instead since it is supposed to rain!
I know Galentine’s Day is a complete made up holiday, just like Valentine’s Day. Haha! (I have definite opinions on this day, maybe I can get my act together and post about it tomorrow.) But regardless, it is always fun to have an excuse to get together with my best blogger girls, eat sweets and take cute pictures. If you don’t already follow my friends Jessica and Michelle, you need to check them out! We had the best time! Truthfully, it feels like I have known these ladies so much longer than 6 weeks. We hit it off immediately and cheer each other along when we are having moments of doubt or uncertainty. To me, Galentine’s Day is just a great day to celebrate friends that stick by your side and offer encouragement to you. It is so much fun to just hang out with the girls and celebrate the relationships that you have formed and the support system that you have in place. Do you celebrate Galentine’s Day?
