Navy And Gold Star Maxi Dress: Seeing Stars

I have been eyeing this navy and gold star maxi dress for a while.  When I saw it my brain immediately thought that it would be perfect use at Halloween for a witch costume or at the holidays for a gorgeous dress for a party.  It is also great for every day wear for date night or the office. It runs true to size as well as I am in an XS.  I love that it isn’t so long on me that it is difficult too.  When you are only 5’4″, sometimes that is hard!

Since I like to add some flare to things I added a gold belt to the navy and gold star maxi dress.  I really thought it would make the stars pop even more.  And I had some fun gold mules that complimented it well too.  Now, not everyone likes that kind of pizazz, so if you are more low key just add navy or nude shoes and no belt.  It will still look fabulous!

Halloween is later this week, and if you missed it, check out my costume post.  I can’t wait to dress up for work on Friday.  I always loved planning costumes for my kids too.  It is hard to choose my favorite costume of them, but I am pretty partial to when Hope was a peacock.  That costume was a labor of love.  I am kind of sad no one really dresses up at my house anymore.

Real Life

I have to confess, and I know I am not the only one that feels this way; but this has been a hard year.  Things don’t always go the way we plan.  And it seems just when we think we have plan together that things fall apart all over again.  This year has been so tumultuous for lots of reasons.  In that season, I couldn’t devote the time I wanted to my blog.  I felt like one more thing might cause me to lose it.   I know that God is bigger than me, but sometimes, I want to throw myself a pity party.  Anyone else?  One the bright side, I am finding my way and trying to return to a place of normalcy.  Please know, while this is a blog, I am also a real person and sometimes life isn’t all that social media appears.  I appreciate all of the support and kindness that is shown to me and I hope you continue to stop by to read; even if I am not posting every second of every day.
