My Favorite Coffee Drinks

Latte Coffee and Work

This past Saturday, I got to meet two of my favorite people Michelle and Caroline.  They also happen to be bloggers.  If you don’t already follow them, you should.  We had the best time together; and a short coffee date turned into a four hour coffee date.  Isn’t it amazing when you can talk for hours and lose track of time?  We were so engrossed in our conversation, we didn’t even snap a photo together.  #bloggerfail  After we left I got to thinking about my favorite coffee drinks and wanted to share.  I would love to know what your favorites are too!  So comment and tell me.

My Favorite Coffee Drinks

Coffee with Half/Half:  This is going to sound super boring.  However, one of my favorite ways to drink coffee is just with plain ole half and half.  The only thing I am really picky about is the type of coffee.  I prefer Dunkin’ original coffee and just make it in my regular coffee pot at home.  I love to go pick up speciality coffee too, but 90% of the time, I make it at home.  Why do I make it at home? I have a hard time justifying the cost of buying coffee every morning.  But at home, I haven’t even found a fancy coffee maker I like.  Haha!  I am not impressed with a Keurig.  So if you have one you recommend, let me know because I would love to make a good latte at home.

Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Latte from Dunkin’: I am not a huge fan of the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte.  It has a weird taste to me.  And since I love all things pumpkin, I couldn’t wait to taste this version.  I am so happy with it, and think that the flavor is so much better.  It has pumpkin and cinnamon flavored syrup; and is topped with whipped cream, caramel and cinnamon sugar.  Give it a try, I bet you like it better than PSL.

Bear Hug Latte from Appalachian Coffee:  I know this is a local coffee shop, but Caroline introduced me to the Bear Hug.  It is possible I am an addict now.  Once the weather turns cold, I may be here at lunch (it is so close to the office!) more often than I anticipated.  The latte has organic honey, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel.  So flipping good!

S’mores Latte from Starbucks:  My mama wasn’t much of a coffee drinker until a few years ago.  And she would occasionally treat herself to a S’mores Latte at Starbucks.  There were several times I was out shopping with her that she would stop and want to split one with me.  It has marshmallow and graham cracker syrup and of course some chocolate syrup and whipped cream.  If you’ve never tried it, it is amazing.

Toasted White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks:  There is something I love about the taste of white chocolate with my coffee.  It adds some caramelized flavors with the white chocolate that just creates the perfect flavor combination.  When you top it with whipped cream and cranberry sugar, it is like heaven in a cup.

What Are Your Favorites?

I always love to know the drinks others love.  Do you like Dunkin’, Starbucks or a local coffee shop the best?  And do you have a secret menu drink that you think I should try?  Comment and let me know below!
