The Little Mermaid Halloween Costume

Halloween is such a fun time to dress up and become a different character for a day. This year, with COVID-19, it might look a little different with no big parties.  However, don’t let that stop you from having fun!  We dress up at at my office each year.  Our Executive Assistant and (right arm) at work and I are planning a “theme” for this year for us.  I am going to be Ariel, The Little Mermaid for my Halloween costume.  And Calintha will be Ursula!

What many people don’t know about Calintha is that she is so talented in theatre and music.  And she is my Halloween BFF.  I wish that she had been able to join me for these photos, because she is going to look amazing!  Be sure to follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook so you can see photos of her on Friday.  Her mom made her costume and it is fantastic!

Little Mermaid Halloween Costume Options

I scoured the internet looking for The Little Mermaid Halloween Costume options.  Originally, I wanted to mix and match pieces and create my own.  Honestly, I still wish I had been able to pull that off.  But, with the current pandemic situation, it made it a little difficult to get all the pieces delivered with enough time to photograph, edit and write a post.  I ended up ordering a set that I found and loved online.  Then I added a few touches of my own to make it even more “Ariel” like haha!  This set is pretty true to size, I am wearing a small for reference.

The key to the Little Mermaid Halloween Costume is the red hair!  Of course if you just want to be a mermaid, you can change it up and do whatever hair you want to create the look you love. I also added these fun sea shell hair clips to the wig for a special touch.  Now, I am not sure red is my best hair color, but is fun when you are playing dress up.  And who could be Ariel without the signature red hair?!?

Are you dressing up this year for Halloween? If so, comment and tell me who you are going to be! I have all the pieces I am wearing linked up for you below, along with some other options if you want to create your own look. A side note, for those that may be wondering…I am not wearing this top to work. I got a purple bodysuit that I will be wearing to the office with the skirt, for modesty. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and Happy Halloween!
