Sometimes, I feel like being a bit extra with my clothes and I pair a statement making piece with something. Today was one of those days. When I saw this lace sleeve blouse, it just popped and I instantly put it in my cart. On the day it arrived at my house, my sister was there and I tried it on; she was not impressed. However, fashionista 7 year old niece loved it, so I went with her approval instead. 😉 I love to use clothes as a way to express my personality. I’ve been told a time or two that I am a bit girly/prissy, and I choose to embrace that side of me.
Lace Blouse Details
Here is the thing for me when it comes to statement pieces that might be a little too trendy for the long term, I buy them as inexpensive as I can get them. This lace sleeve blouse is under $20 and for that price, if I only wear it a couple of times, I am happy. The neckline is high and is smocked, the sleeves are also smocked at the wrist before the flare out again. Additionally, there are ruffle details at the shoulder. The sleeves have a beautiful flowers on them that just make them stand out!
The skirt I picked up is also under $20. I love the deep red color and the tie waist. (Unfortunately, it is sold out.) Immediately, I paired them together and thought to myself, this is the perfect holiday outfit! The hem of this skirt is scalloped, and that adds something fun to it. The skirt has a modest slit that helps with movement too. I know that I will be finding so many things to pair with it for year round wear. It fits true to size; I am wearing a small in it, however, I suggest sizing up as it is slightly snug on me. I have another couple of options linked for you below!
Are you all ready for Christmas? It is hard to believe it is only 2 days away! Please let me know if you like this fun vintage/victorian look today or if it is a little “too extra” for your taste by leaving me a comment. I have linked everything I am wearing, as well as some other options for you to create this look yourself.
