Today on the blog I am sharing a great work wear look featuring a pleated midi skirt and lace top from Chicwish. I have always been a fan of polka dots and skirts. But this particular skirt caught my eye immediately. I have been seeing pistachio green everywhere this fall and I am here for it. I know this color might not be for everyone, but this skirt is so classy and gives you the pistachio green trend perfectly.
The midi I am wearing is a super comfortable knit material. It has an elastic waistband too! Midi skirts are the perfect length, especially for the fall and winter months. And since the material is a knit or sweater material it is super warm on cold mornings. I also love pleats and the way that they fall. They make such a pretty look that just adds a little extra interest to a skirt. As far as sizing, I am wearing a small, and I think it runs true to size. Again, since it is elastic waist, it is a forgiving.
I paired this midi with a white top with gorgeous lace sleeves. I love the feminine touch, especially with such a pretty skirt. The sweater is a little bit of a crop style. Ideally, I would like to tuck it to accentuate the waistline, but it doesn’t really work with this skirt. So i just rolled it some. You could also tie it if you wanted to add some interest. Alternatively, you can pair this skirt with a white bodysuit, because you can never go wrong with a bodysuit with a skirt.
The controversial part of my look today is the white booties. You either love them or hate them. I won’t lie, I have been on the fence about them for over a year. I am not sure I will wear these booties with everything in the fall and winter, but I also LOVE the way they look with this skirt. If you are wanting to try this fad without breaking the bank, these are under $40 and are a prime find. I want to know, do you love them or hate them? Comment and let me know!
