Affordable Holiday Looks
I love creating affordable holiday looks and affordable fashion finds year round. While the holidays probably look different for you this year, I find that it is still important to do some things the same; like dressing up! I have always felt that putting effort into the way I look impacts the way that I feel. Perhaps that is a bit vain of me to say, but I own it. Since most holiday parties are on a hiatus this year, I thought I would search and find some great options that would still make you feel great, but not break the bank.
Royal Blue Lace Dress
Jewel tones are always a good idea during the holidays. But you don’t have to always wear red and green shades. Royal blue is one of my favorite colors and you can wear it throughout the year and not feel like you are a Christmas tree. I love this gorgeous lace dress that I found on Amazon. And at only $22, you can’t beat it. If you have a winter wedding to attend, this dress would be perfect too. You could also transition this one easily to the spring/summer by pairing it with strappy sandals.
The style is very flattering. It has a satin ribbon tie waist and reminded me of the “church dresses” I grew up wearing every Sunday. Cap sleeves and a scoop back add just enough interest to make it feel festive. I paired it with black studded pumps and simple jewelry and love the way it turned out.
Plaid Midi Skirt
There isn’t much that screams Christmas more than red plaid. This houndstooth plaid skirt has red, black and white in it and falls in the affordable holiday looks column since it is only $20. It is really comfortable and could be styled multiple ways, which I love. In fact, I am planning to style it a couple of different ways and use it to create some fun Valentine’s Day outfits in January! I just paired it with my favorite shaping black bodysuit and black studded pumps for this look. It is classic yet festive. I love the pocket on the skirt and the fact that the material is thick enough to keep you warmer on windy days, especially if you wear it with boots instead of heels.
Can you believe that Christmas is only 10 days away? It seems like just yesterday we were eating Turkey for Thanksgiving. I am glad that I have all of my shopping finished up although I am notorious for thinking that I need to get “one more thing”. Are you finished with your shopping? Thank you for stopping by and sticking with me as I try to regain my bearings and become more consistent in my blogging again. I hope you all have a great day!
