Affordable Fall Transition: Red Wrap Dress

Does anyone else love an affordable fall transition piece?  I know when I shop I think of how long I will be able to wear something.  Will it work in Spring/Summer only or can I get some use out of it in Fall/Winter too?  I love a good deal and today, I am excited to share a prime find with you!

Up until this past Saturday, it has been hotter than hades in NC.  So hot that it was in the 90’s on Friday and then freezing (in the 60’s) on Saturday.  My southern skin can’t handle the drop that quickly.  Haha!  I love crisp fall mornings, but I also like it to get warm and sunny in the 70’s later in the day.  That is why I love clothes that layer easily and effortlessly.

Dress Details

I found this adorable wrap dress on Amazon a month or so ago.  It comes in a maxi version that I am going to share next week too!  There are a ton of colors to choose from, and since it was close to fall when I bought it, I went with red.  Personally, red is one of my favorite colors for year round.  I have a ridiculous amount of red items just because I feel confident in it.  But you should check out the other options that you might like too!

As I have mentioned before, I love affordable fall transition pieces, well, really any affordable fashion. This dress is kind of thin, but still well made.  A wrap style dress is super flattering, but to be honest, it was a little big in the bust area for me.  This is a typical problem for me, so not really a shocker.  I actually just added a great Free People bralette to make it feel more comfortable to me, and it added some fun details.  The safety pin I tried to used failed and just looked weird. I am wearing a small for reference.  If you are on the fence, I would size down unless you have a large chest.

Shoes/Accessories

I completed the look with some open toed flats, courtesy of 1.State.  They run slightly big and I would recommend sizing down in them.  I don’t usually wear a lot of flat shoes, but with this particular dress, I loved the casual vibe.  Lastly, I added some basic gold jewelry, classic but timeless.

Overall, I have had really good look with Amazon fashion.  I am working on several more posts featuring some of my favorite and affordable pieces I have found with them, all prime and all under $30!  I can’t wait to share it with you later this week and next.  Comment and tell me if you have success on Amazon, or if you have specific items you want me to review or test for you.
